HOW TO COMMUTE TO WORK FROM THE ACCOMMODATION?

On foot. The activities site is in school area

EXCURSION:

1-2 day(s) camp vacation. Where to visit can be discussed with your work camp coordinator, project host and the long-term volunteers

NOTICES:

  • Please bring a sleeping bag instead of a lightweight blanket as you’re going to sleep right on solid surface.

You can bring anything convenient for your sleeping if you’re easily prone to backache.

  • Please bring sprays against bugs/mosquitoes if easily allergic to, or you can buy them in Thailand (let the work camp coordinator know before leaving the meeting point). There’re insects that you may not be familiar with such as mosquitoes or irritating bugs. Thailand is a tropical country, that’s why.

  • Don’t forget to inform your camp leader beforehand if you have a congenital disease or allergy.

  • Please be aware of bringing heavy gear, it’s unnecessarily. However, bringing compact backpacks instead of big suitcase will be more suitable.

  • For cooking your traditional cuisine, at the project we only have normal kitchen utensils like plates, spoons & forks, frying pans, cooking pots, knives, few chopsticks. You can bring with you materials for cooking your food that we don’t have in Thailand.

  • You can also bring any games/music/ photos/ discussion subjects/ food recipes to bring the group together and to share with local people.

  • Please cash your traveler’s checks, exchange your cash and do necessary calls/Internet in advance. The project village is far from town, no bank, currency exchange booth or even an ATM machine.

  • Volunteers acknowledge that participation fee paid to our organization is not included with the inscription fee you pay to your sending organization.

  • Please be on time. Give us a notice if you’re going to come late to the meeting point.

  •    Please bring working shoes, gloves, clothes and a sun protection hat with you. Most of your days will be    working with tools; it’s easy to get exhaustion under the sun.

  •    For girls, no shorts/skirts above knees and revealing tops while in the project.

  •       **Bringing a flashlight with you is a must, please do not forget it**.
